Charlie, I’ve asked those same questions to many different people and pastors. There’s always some reason that they’ve made up to make it okay. You can add in there: Why, when Uriah reached out his hand to steady the ark of the covenant that was about to fall over, god killed him? I could come up with a lot more. It is kind of sickening to listen to people make excuses for people who molest little kids like ministers and other cult followers made excuses for *** Jolly and *** Ray and ***** Goodwin was guilty as well. How many people knew what they were doing and did nothing? Why should there ever be a statute of limitations on child abuse? By the time many children grow up and get the courage to tell, they’re out of luck because of that statute. Very good questions1

That’s pretty much how I came to realize the truth. I was upset at first until I realized the numerous religions and how embracing the wrong one was a certain ticket to hell… Thanks for sharing with me!

One foot in front of the other, that’s how. I’ve been through similar circumstances, and yes, shit just happens. As the days pass, it gets easier. So all you can do is put one foot in front of the other and keep going.

I’m sorry for your family’s loss. I’m glad you at least
don’t believe this is some horrible punishment any of you deserve
or earned. My grandmother taught a lot of victim-blaming crap that

I think that is a slippery slope Chuck. If you prove the existence of Jolly old St. Nikaulus, then you will have to come to terms with his belief in God, or dog (larry) since he was championed and given saint hood by the “universal” church, right?
